The Problem

Medication errors in care homes
are preventable.

Most incidents come down to one thing: staff who wanted to do the right thing, but didn't have the right information in front of them at the right moment.

72%

of care home staff report gaps in medication knowledge

Particularly among new and junior staff — the very people administering medications on morning and evening rounds every day.

38%

of CQC medication-related findings cite inadequate reference resources

Inspectors want to see that your team has access to up-to-date, credible clinical guidance — not printed handouts from five years ago.

Day 1

New staff are expected to administer medications without adequate support

Agency staff, new starters, and those returning to care all face the same challenge — no accessible, trusted reference at the point of care.

ClinBridge addresses all of this — see how the AI Clinical Assistant goes further

AI Clinical Assistant

Introducing

The AI Clinical
Assistant.

Every care home has that moment — a medication you haven't seen before, a combination that doesn't feel right, a resident's family asking a question you're not sure how to answer. The AI Clinical Assistant is there for all of it.

Grounded in your medication database

Answers reference the 559+ medications in ClinBridge — not generic internet results from unknown sources.

UK guideline referenced

Every response is framed against NICE, BNF and MHRA guidance — the same standards your CQC inspector uses.

Plain English output

No clinical jargon by default. Clear enough to pass on to a resident's family, precise enough to act on.

Available to clinical leads and managers

Tier 3 feature — controlled access for accountability and governance.

How does Quetiapine differ from Risperidone for a resident with dementia?
AI
Quetiapine vs Risperidone — Key Differences

Both are antipsychotics used for behavioural symptoms in dementia. Quetiapine is more sedating with a lower risk of movement side-effects. Risperidone carries stronger evidence for efficacy but a higher risk of Parkinsonism, particularly in older patients.

MHRA guidance applies to both — prescribing must be time-limited with regular clinical review. Neither should be initiated without discussion with the prescribing GP.
High Alert — Both medications carry MHRA Red Alert status for use in dementia. Always verify current prescription and monitoring plan before administration.
For training and clinical reference only. Always act in accordance with current prescriptions and local clinical policy.
